Inside Envato

Envato has been named Australia’s Coolest Company for Women in JobAdvisor’s Coolest Company awards.

This is the first time the award has been handed out, and we’re honoured to be the inaugural recipient!

JobAdvisor introduced the Coolest Company for Women category to reward companies driving equal opportunities and creating work environments where women can reach their fullest potential.

“A great workplace for women translates to a better workplace for everyone,” Collis says, and we couldn’t agree more.

While we’re lucky to have awesome leaders that believe in the value of diversity, it’s a team effort.

JobAdvisor recognised our workplace flexibility, industry-leading parental leave, and rigorous hiring and people practices, as well as our work to increase the number of women working in technology generally.

We asked our Recruitment Partner Elizabeth Enders to reflect on the award and what it means for Envato:

“Attracting the best and brightest to join our crew is important, along with giving every potential employee a fair go and promoting diversity and inclusiveness across the industry as a whole,” she explains.

“Tech is very high on our recruitment agenda, so we’re lucky that female role models across Envato proactively contribute to initiatives that teach, connect and inspire women, in tech and many other areas, including Marketing, Legal and HR. ”

“Continuing to increase the diversity and inclusiveness of our team is really important and recruiting and retaining talent who are underrepresented is central to this, including women in tech.

“People at all levels across the business are really engaged and proactive in improving how we attract and recruit in a fair and inclusive manner. We’re not perfect, so we constantly look for ways to make the experience better for everyone.

“The recruitment crew are always super excited to connect with people who are interested in working at Envato either now or in the future, even if it’s a ‘one day’ dream job they’re not ready to apply for just yet.

“We’re growing – a lot – so I encourage those who are interested in opportunities with our team to check out our careers page for details on how to get in touch.”

Envato was also dubbed one of the Coolest Companies in Tech for 2015 by JobAdvisor.

JobAdvisor’s Coolest Company competition is assessed by experts in diversity, culture and recruitment, including Lisa Annese, CEO of Diversity Council Australia, Justin Babet, Founder of JobAdvisor and CEO of JobVibe, Karen Lawson, former CEO of CareerOne and Ben Hutt, CEO of JobAdvisor and Search Party.

Thanks for singling us out in such great company JobAdvisor!
